Monroe Street's Obama stimulus campaign sign

Monroe Street, Chicago
So far this month Stimulus II has failed to advance in the Senate, as has the "bite-sized" version. Meanwhile, the road signs for Stimulus I, gone from most other states, still pollute Illinois. You can find this green ghoul on Chicago's Monroe Street, between the Kennedy Expressway and the Loop.

That stimulus isn't helping the Land of Lincoln much. Illinois' unemployment rate is creeping up again--it's now at 10 percent.
