Michigan Avenue's Obama stimulus campaign sign

Last night the Democrat-controlled US Senate failed to advance Stimulus II. Meanwhile, the Stimulus I road signs are still being hoisted in President Obama's hometown of Chicago. The unemployment rate in Illinois is 9.9 percent--nearly one point higher than that of the rest of the nation.

Chicago's front yard, Grant Park, has two Obama stimulus campaign signs. This one on south Michigan Avenue and the one I wrote about on Monday. It's such a pretty park--it will be prettier when these garish signs are removed.

Great little referencepost, John. Seems Chicago has lots of shovel ready jobs in progress. Great work on your part, and thx for stopping by the show this week.
