Sex Pistols: Holidays in the Sun

John Lydon, better known as Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols, was in the news recently, as he praised Brexit and President Donald J. Trump.

"America now has a new president and whether you like him or not you have to support him or you will destroy the country," Lydon said on a UK TV show this week. "You got to make things work."

Hey Chuck Schumer: Are you paying attention?

The Pistols' lead singer called his meeting with Brexit organizer Nigel Farage as "fantastic" and he says that Trump is a "possible friend."

Watch as sing along as the Sex Pistols perform :Holidays In The Sun," a song about the Berlin Wall that always seemed anti-communist too me.

Chiraq: 7 dead in four block area in 1 day in South Shore

South Shore Cultural Center
Last night I wrote in amazement about the five people shot to death yesterday afternoon in South Shore on Chicago's South Side.

By the end of the day the total was seven.

From the Chicago Tribune:
The first call of a person shot dead in the South Shore neighborhood came in shortly after noon Thursday. A woman, four months pregnant, had been found in her home with a gunshot wound to her head, according to police.

Less than four hours later, four men were killed when a gunman opened fire at a chicken and fish restaurant less than five blocks east.

Before the day was done, a man and a woman were shot to death just after 11 p.m. in a car in front of the South Shore Cultural Center not far away, police said.

"Again in South Shore?" a woman wondered out loud as she walked past the latest crime scene, at the corner of 71st Street and South Shore Drive.
Yep, again in South Shore. Not even Austin or Englewood has days like this one.

The restaurant shooting occurred in a what you might call "a small family place, good food. [Where] Everyone minds his business." The last killings happened on a very public corner.

The thugs are getting more brazen.

Oh, later in the Tribune article the "car" is referred to as a van. Minivans and vans are often used for narcotics sales in Chiraq.

2 Dems will vote to confirm Gorsuch

Welcome to North Dakota
Not all of the Democrats in the Senate are lockstep leftists.

From ABC News:
Two Democratic Senators announced they will vote to confirm Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch, the first Democrats who have declared support for his nomination.

Sens. Joe Manchin from West Virginia and Heidi Heitkamp from North Dakota both released statements today announcing their intentions to vote to approve Gorsuch.

Few Democrats are expected to support his nomination and some have promised to filibuster when the vote reaches the floor.

Both Senators have met with Gorsuch and cited his judicial record and praise from colleagues as some of the reasons for their support.

Chiraq afternoon: 4 men murdered, 1 pregnant woman killed, in 2 shootings in 1 neighborhood

Blogger in front of his father's
old home
My father grew up in Chicago's South Shore neighborhood. The "bad parts" back then were the middle class sections.

Today South Shore is considered one of the better parts of the South Side. But it's not shocking that five people were murdered there in one afternoon.

From NBC Chicago:
Four people were killed after a gunman opened fire at a Chicago restaurant Thursday afternoon just blocks from where a pregnant woman had been found dead hours earlier.

The shootings capped a bloody afternoon on the city's South Side. In total, at least 10 people had been shot across the city since Thursday morning.

The most recent killing happened when police said a man walked up to a restaurant on the 2700 block of East 75th Street and opened fire. When officers arrived at the scene, they found two men unresponsive inside the restaurant and a third shot outside the restaurant.

A fourth man was found unresponsive across the street on the 7500 block of South Coles Avenue, according to authorities.
Oh, you can't blame this latest carnage on the weather. It's rainy and cool today.

Why is it OK to make fun of Trump's hair but not Maxine Waters' "James Brown wig?"

Leftists in the media and entertainment world constantly mock President Donald Trump's unkempt hair. But when Fox News' Bill O'Reilly refers to ethically-bankrupt and Trump-hater US Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) as wearing "a James Brown wig."

The Chicago Tribune's Heidi Stevens is among the howlers calling foul. Okay, O'Reilly has since apologized.

But listen up folks. Equality of the sexes is a two-way part in the hair. And that means women have to learn to accept insults--just like men.

As far Waters, can anyone name one piece of meaningful legislation of hers that has become law?

MA sheriff: Sanctuary city mayors should be arrested for violating federal law

I never heard of Sheriff Thomas Hodgson--nor I have heard of Bristol County, Massachusetts. Hodgson--a Republican, says that mayor of sanctuary cities, such as Bill De Blasio of New York, Eric Garcetti of Los Angeles, and Rahm Emanuel of Chicago, should be arrested for refusing to follow federal law regarding illegal aliens.

Hodgson is fabulous! There is hope for the Bay State.

Chicago can't account for $4.6 million in affordable housing funds

It's League of Shadows time for Chicago again at Marathon Pundit.

"The League of Shadows has been a check against human corruption for thousands of years. We sacked Rome, loaded trade ships with plague rats, burned London to the ground. Every time a civilization reaches the pinnacle of its decadence, we return to restore the balance." Ra's al Ghul in Batman Begins.

From the Chicago Tribune:
City Hall can't account for about $4.6 million collected from developers to create affordable housing, according to a report that Chicago's watchdog released Tuesday.

The money is part of $89.9 million in affordable housing funds collected from developers from 2003 to 2015. A city accounting move "allowed" the bulk of the $4.6 million in question "to be used for other purposes," according to Inspector General Joseph Ferguson's report.

Ferguson recommended the money be restored to a fund designated for affordable housing, but Mayor Rahm Emanuel's administration balked, with officials saying they believe the money was spent on affordable housing, even if the records are hard to track.

"The purported losses, if any, to the program described in this report were losses on paper only," city budget officials wrote in response.

#TrumpSpring: Ford announces yuge Michigan plant investment

Detroit "Pure Michigan" billboard
Trump Spring is here. Bigly.

From the Detroit Free Press:
Ford Motor Co. will invest $1.2 billion in three Michigan facilities to prepare for production of the all-new Ford Ranger and Bronco, and to support the company's expansion into mobility.

The company said Tuesday it will invest $850 million to retool its Michigan Assembly Plant in Wayne for truck and SUV production; $150 million in its Romeo Engine Plant to expand capacity for several vehicles; and $200 million to build a data center at the company's Flat Rock Assembly Plant. Ford announced in January the Flat Rock facility also would see a $700 million investment and 700 new jobs to support the production of electrified and autonomous vehicles.

Ford said the Romeo investment will "create or retain" 130 jobs. The company on Tuesday did not say how many jobs would be added as a result of the other two investments. The investments simultaneously support Ford's strong truck and SUV segments, and the company's push to cover multiple "mobility" fields through autonomous vehicle fleets and ride-sharing services.

The announcement came as President Donald Trump pushes U.S. and foreign automakers to build factories and add jobs in the U.S. Ford has announced $1.9 billion in investments in Michigan in the past three months, though roughly half of that amount has been planned since 2015.
Cynics, Democrats mostly and their protectors in the media, will pounce on that last paragraph, claiming that some of this expansion would have happened even if Trump hadn't won in November. Maybe.

The expansion involves trucks and SUVs--and Trump's vow to review stringent Obama-era miles-per-gallon regulations makes these vehicles more attractive to Ford. By reviewing them, of course that very likely means Trump will be scaling them back. Such a move on MPG standards would have been less likely under a Clinton presidency.
So yes, Trump can rightly claim credit for this expansion.

Sessions threatens to pull sanctuary city and county funding

I live in Cook County, Illinois--which is a cash-strapped county. Five miles south of me is Chicago, a sanctuary city that is functionally bankrupt and a violent crime cesspool too.

If the some federal money is pulled from these places--and others--things could get quite interesting.

But not in a good way.

From the Lowell Sun:
The U.S. Department of Justice will require communities applying for its grants to "certify compliance" with federal immigration law and "claw-back" funds awarded to those who are not complying, Attorney General Jeff Sessions said Monday.

Sessions urged municipalities and states to end so-called sanctuary policies, through which local governments do not enforce federal immigration laws.

"The American people are justifiably angry," he said at a press conference. "They know that when cities and states refuse to help enforce immigration laws, our nation is less safe. Failure to deport aliens who are convicted for criminal offenses puts whole communities at risk -- especially immigrant communities in the very sanctuary jurisdictions that seek to protect the perpetrators."

Sessions focused his remarks on a federal law known as Section 1373, which says a federal, state or local government may not prohibit or restrict any government entity from "sending to, or receiving from, the Immigration and Naturalization Service information regarding the citizenship or immigration status, lawful or unlawful, of any individual."

Arrogant Chris Kennedy insults the corrupt Chicago Democratic Machine

Kenilworth, home of
Chris Kennedy
Chris Kennedy of Kenilworth on the North Shore, the nephew of RFK, sure is an arrogant--and stupid--SOB.

From the Chicago Sun-Times:
His hands shook as he spoke, and he accidentally dropped the microphone when he finished, but Chris Kennedy tried to play it cool Monday as he made his pitch to Cook County Democratic leaders, downplaying — and even joking about — the value of their endorsement in the governor's race.

"Slating? I don’t know. Is this like the Town and Country Restaurant? [My note: What in the hell is he talking about?] I mean, what are we talking about here in the back room of a restaurant?" Kennedy said. "If you think the people of the United States would put up with that, it's not going to happen. It ain't going to happen. I love you all. I mean no disrespect."

Most in the room — the back room of a River North restaurant — laughed. But asked later by reporters whether he'd be asking for the party’s support, Kennedy dug in deeper.

"I just don’t know that it's as meaningful as it was 50 or 60 years ago where people in the back room could control the outcome of an election," Kennedy said. "I don't believe that exists in the United States anymore. … I would say that having a huge social media presence. I'd say having the endorsements of people on Facebook, and LinkedIn, or Twitter or Snapchat is probably more important than what goes on in the back of a restaurant.”
Wrong.

Kennedy seems unaware that the typical Chicago voter--which means a Democratic voter--typically selects the candidate who is backed by the local ward boss or alderman. Often that person is one and the same. Yes, we are talking about uninformed voters. In general elections they just have to show up to the local polling place and pick the man or woman with "D" next to their name. Easy. In primary elections the Chicago voter has to be guided. And yes, in the 21st century, these Machine bosses still matter. Oh, and guess what, Kennedy: Democratic ward heelers use Facebook and Twitter. Snapchat and LinkedIn? Maybe not.

Kennedy is already a train wreck of a candidate. In life you don't get far by insulting the people that you want something from, whether you are selling something to them or if you want them to support you in a political race.

Even if they are jerks and crooks.

Kennedy versus the Chicago Democratic Machine is like the Iran-Iraq War of the 1980s. You want both sides to lose.

I leave you with this Kennedy quote about the Machine: "I love you all. I mean no disrespect."

But he didn't respect them. Nor does he love them.

Crooked Chicago Public Schools vendor gets 7 years in prison for bribery

CPS school, Northwest Side
Prosecutors asked for a nine year prison sentence. Even that would be not be enough for me. Thankfully this creep wasn't a dean or a teacher at Little Marathon Pundit's high school when she was a student there. More on that in a bit.

From the Chicago Sun-Times:
The mastermind of a massive kickback scandal that took down former Chicago Public Schools CEO Barbara Byrd-Bennett was sentenced to seven years in prison Friday.

Gary Solomon, 48, was the first person sent to prison in the scheme that was publicly revealed in April 2015 when subpoenas hit CPS. The investigation snared Byrd-Bennett, Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s second schools chief, but the feds say Solomon orchestrated her hiring to scam the district out of millions.

Solomon even applauded her ascension to the top of CPS — months before it was announced — in one of his many emails to Byrd-Bennett that read, "Congrats Madam CEO!!"

While Byrd-Bennett destroyed her career for virtually no money, prosecutors say Solomon pocketed more than $5 million from the company at the heart of the scandal.
Byrd-Bennett used to be a top official at Detroit Public Schools--which is another miserable failure of an educational system. After leaving DPS she worked for firms run by Solomon as a consultant. Solomon's companies received DPS contracts. Then Solomon worked behind the scenes to get Byrd-Bennett hired to run Chicago Public Schools so she could steer business to him. This is how public education operates today.

The next time someone tells you that a property tax increase is "for the kids" I want you to vomit all over that person.

Oh, about Solomon and LMP's old school.

From the Chicago Tribune in 2001:
The board of Niles Township High School District 219 has reluctantly agreed to award a $50,000 settlement to a former dean accused of sending sexually explicit e-mail messages to female students before he left his position in 1999.

The payment to Gary Solomon of Wilmette, who began teaching at Niles West High School in Skokie in 1992, will end a two-year battle that has already cost the district $200,000 in legal fees, said school board President Robert Silverman.
Part of the agreement with District 219 was that Solomon would never work for them again.

But the pervert moved on to fleece taxpayers in a different way.

Oh, Solomon is a racist too.

From the Chicago Sun-Times lat year:
In an email to a former female student who had recently graduated, Solomon allegedly referred to African-American people as "mooks, shines, burrheads, yard apes, porch monkeys," and several other racially offensive terms.

He also wrote that black people “will never set foot in his house,” according to a transcript of a state hearing held because Solomon initially fought efforts to remove him from the school.

And, in a personal journal he kept on a school computer, Solomon described another school administrator as an “uppity n—–,” a lawyer for District 219 alleged, according to the transcript.
Byrd-Bennett is black.

ObamaCare is still headed for collapse

Leftists are celebrating the decision by House Speaker Paul Ryan to cancel a vote on the Republican replacement of ObamaCare. But this clear defeat for President Donald Trump and the GOP doesn't obscure the reality that ObamaCare is collapsing. Many insurers are pulling out of the so-called Affordable Care Act because too many Americans can't afford it. And women in their sixties believe they don't need maternity care.

ObamaCare will die. It will be either soon or not-too-soon.

Chicago cops investigating photo of toddler holding handgun

Photo blurred by the Chicago
Sun-Times
There is a mass psychosis effecting Chicagoans.

From the Chicago Sun-Times:
Police are investigating a photo that was posted on social media that shows a child holding a handgun.

A concerned resident walked into the Wentworth District offices on Wednesday to report a picture someone texted him on Tuesday that shows a male holding a child who was holding an unknown model handgun, according to Chicago Police. The text message said that the photo was shared on social media.

Andrew Holmes, a community activist, said somebody showed him the photo about midnight Tuesday, and he reported it to police the next day.

“We just lost a 3-year-old boy last week who had his hands on a gun,” Holmes said. “We’re supposed to be leaders and try to keep guns out of children’s hands, yet here she is with her hands on the trigger.”

Jihadi named in London attack, Islamic State claims responsibility

Why does the media have to stress that the killer was born in Great Britain? Does that make this maniac's terrorist ideology any less deadly?

From Reuters:
The attacker who killed three people near parliament in London before being shot dead was named on Thursday as British-born Khalid Masood, who was once investigated by MI5 intelligence officers over concerns about violent extremism.

Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack in a statement issued by its Amaq news agency, but did not name Masood and gave no details. It was not clear whether the attacker was directly connected to the jihadist group.

Police said Masood, 52, was born in the county of Kent in southeast England and was most recently living in the West Midlands region of central England.

Of top ten metro areas only Chicago is losing people

Chicago's West Side
Folks in the Chicago area are fed up with rising taxes, a moribund economy, rampant crime, and incompetent and corrupt one-party rule. So they are leaving.

From the Chicago Sun-Times:
Among the 10 largest metro areas in the United States, the Chicago region — including Naperville, Elgin and parts of northwest Indiana and southeast Wisconsin — was the only metro area that did not grow in population between 2015 and 2016, according to new figures released by the U.S. Census Bureau.

In all, the nation's 382 metro areas contained approximately 277.1 million people in 2016, representing approximately 86 percent of the nation’s population. This was an increase of approximately 2.3 million people from 2015.

Cook County remained the second-largest county in the country, behind Los Angeles County in California, the Census Bureau said. But Cook County continued to experience population loss, with 21,324 people leaving between 2015 and 2016.

The Census Bureau's announcement comes in the wake of the bureau reporting in December that Illinois lost more people than any other state within a 12-month period.

Chicago minor whose rape was live streamed on Facebook is receiving threats

"The League of Shadows has been a check against human corruption for thousands of years. We sacked Rome, loaded trade ships with plague rats, burned London to the ground. Every time a civilization reaches the pinnacle of its decadence, we return to restore the balance." Ra's al Ghul in Batman Begins..

Chicago needs the League of Shadows.

From ABC Chicago:
As Chicago police continue to work to try and identify the boys seen sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl on Facebook Live over the weekend, the girl's mother told the Associated Press that the family is getting online threats and her daughter refuses to go home.

Police meanwhile said they "have teams working around the clock and detectives are making good progress in the case." Police also said there is now a parallel investigation going on into the online threats being received by the family of the 15-year-old.

"I hope they get prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. This ain't (sic) the first time," Reginald King, victim's relative, said.

Stills from the video, which Facebook has taken down, identify a so-called "Beam Team" as the broadcasters. They are known to many in the neighborhood.
Okay, I've read enough. Clearly lots of people know who this "Beam Team" is. Can one of the few decent people left in Chicago cough up some of their names?

Terror again in the UK: Cop stabbed, pedestrians run over near Big Ben

More tragedy today from Great Britain:

From the Daily Mail:
At least two people are dead after a terror attacker brought carnage to central London today, mowing down pedestrians on Westminster Bridge before attacking police with a knife in the grounds of the Houses of Parliament.

At least 10 people were been hit by a vehicle on the bridge after a 4x4 drove into pedestrians and cyclists before crashing into the gates of Parliament.

An intruder, described by a witness as 'middle-aged and Asian', then managed to break into the grounds of the Parliament and stabbed a police officer before he was shot and injured. The policeman is feared to have since died.

An hour after the attack, paramedics removed a man, thought to be the attacker, from the scene after extensive CPR. Another body appeared to have been left on the ground covered by a red blanket.

Chicago funeral homes plagued by violence

Violence at wakes for gangbangers is not new to Chicago. But now funeral home directors want safe-zone type protections.

There is life after death--and death after death.

From CBS Chicago:
For many, a loved one's funeral or wake is a somber time; but in some Chicago neighborhoods, the mourning happens under the threat of gang violence.

CBS 2's Jim Williams reports that some community leaders are calling for state lawmakers to crack down on this.

While June Williams has offered comfort to the grieving at her funeral home for decades, it still didn’t prepare for her some of the things she would witness.

"A gentleman went up to see his brother, who had been killed, and I'm standing at the casket, so of course, I'm thinking, 'how touching — he’s grieving over his brother.' And another walked up, put his arm around him and he stabbed him," Williams said.

Illinois tax break fail: Sears near death

Closed Chicago Sears store
As I've remarked here a few times, in 2011 Illinois' miserable failure of a governor, Chicago Democrat Pat Quinn, shortly after signing into law a massive income tax hike, signed another piece of legislation giving Sears Holdings, which owns the Kmart and Sears brands, a huge tax break so it wouldn't move its headquarters out of Illinois.

Apparently there soon will be no Sears Holdings and the point will be moot.

Illinois knows how to pick the losers.

From AP:
Sears, once the monolith of American retail, says there is "substantial doubt" that it will be able to keep its doors open.

Company shares, which hit an all-time low last month, tumbled more than 5 percent before the opening bell Wednesday.

Millions of dollars have been funneled through the hedge fund of Chairman and CEO Edward Lampert to keep Sears afloat but with sales fading, it is burning through cash. Lampert combined Sears and Kmart in 2005, about two years after he helped bring Kmart out of bankruptcy

According to a regulatory filing late Tuesday, Sears Holdings Corp. lost more than $2 billion last year. Adjusted for one-time charges, its loss was $887 million.

Illinois House votes down Obama birthday holiday

There is some rare good political news out of Illinois tonight.

From NBC Chicago:
Illinois lawmakers did not pass a bill that would have designated former President Barack Obama's birthday a state holiday, the Chicago Tribune is reporting.

Republicans voiced concern over the other Illinois presidents, such as Ronald Reagan, not having similar holidays, the newspaper reported. They also noted the economic cost of closing state buildings on such a holiday.
But the measure failed by only six votes. Still, it's a win for common sense and fiscal sanity.

Chicago Facebook hell: Rape of minor live streamed

Abandoned home in
North Lawndale
Of my many urban exploration journeys, my trip to North Lawndale was the only one where I constantly feared for my safety. And yes, I've been to Detroit.

And it was in this hell hole where another West Side heinous crime was live streamed on Facebook.

Oh, this is the same neighborhood where a man was dragged from his car and beaten last autumn because they suspected he voted for Donald Trump.

From ABC Chicago:
Chicago police located a 15-year-old girl who had been missing from the city's West Side since Sunday. Authorities said the teen was sexually assaulted and the attack documented in a Facebook Live video.

This is the second time in months that Chicago police are investigating an attack streamed on Facebook Live. Facebook took the video down after police brought it to their attention, but disturbingly none of the people who watched the live stream called 911.

The girl was reunited with her mother after 10th District officers found her. Detectives spoke with them late Tuesday morning at the police station at West 51st Street and South Wentworth Avenue.

"I need to see her, to physically hug her, to touch her, to say it's okay. That we're here for you, we're family," said family friend Nicole Williams.
If you are in the presence of Mayor Rahm Emanuel and he brings up "Chicago values" I want you to vomit all over him.

She wasn't just raped--she was beaten too.

Decline and fall: More renters than homeowners in Detroit

Grixdale in Detroit
There is a revival of Detroit going on--although it is centered on downtown and Midtown. The decline and fall continues in most of the city.

From the Detroit Free Press:
As of 2015, the latest Census estimates available, about 53% of Detroiters were renters, not owners. Exactly when renters became the majority is not clear — just sometime in the past few years. The issue began to percolate earlier this month with a report by Detroit Future City.

Decades ago, Detroit was renowned as a place where working-class folks could own their home. Black residents enjoyed some of the highest homeownership rates in the nation. But the Great Recession and collapse of the housing market almost 10 years ago saw more than 100,000 Detroit homeowners fall into foreclosure.

Chicago values: City still paying for failed Olympics bid

Chicago 2016 Olympics banner
The site of the now-closed Michael Reese Hospital on the South Side was supposed to be where the athletes village for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Chicago.

But despite Barack Obama flying out to Copenhagen to personally plea for the games to be held in his hometown, the International Olympic Committee members chose Rio de Janiero.

Meanwhile Chicago taxpayers are in a familiar situation--paying for the expensive mistakes of the people they put in power.

From CBS 2 Chicago:
Chicago agreed to pay $91 million for the South Side site in 2009. It would have served as the Olympic Village, had Chicago prevailed with the IOC.

Since then, taxpayers have shelled out more than $50 million, but the city still owes over $72 million because most of the payments went toward interest on the loan.

"It's a significant cost that they should work to get out from underneath,” says Laurence Msall, president of the Civic Federation, a Chicago-based tax policy and government research organization.

He adds, "It's the most significant financial hangover" of the failed Olympic bid.

Trump. Monk attended the cancelled Trump rally at the UIC Pavilion on the Near West Side last spring.

Customers of Monk and her husband, Alexander Duvel, were also harassed.

The couple appeared on Fox & Friends this morning.

Worlds of Music will close next month but it will continue on as on online presence. But they plan to abandon Chicago "as soon as we're physically able."

Monk and Duvel have set up a GoFundMe page to pay for their exodus to a tolerant and more patriotic place.

Chuck Berry: Promised Land

The legendary Chuck Berry died today at 90. He was a true rock and roll innovator whose career was twice self-sabotaged by stays in federal prison--once for a Mann Act violation and another for income tax invasion [evasion].

Berry was an enormous influence on the Beatles and the Rolling Stones and was largely a forgotten figure in 1972 in the United States when he was filmed performing "Promised Land" in Great Britain. The Brits remembered.

The rock pioneer recently completed recording an album--and he will be the first nonagenarian to cut a rock album.

Even at death he's blazing the trail.

Rest in peace.

#Chiraq: 3-year-old shot in head in Englewood

Abandoned home in
Englewood
I knew there had to be awful news out there when I saw that #Englewood was trending on Twitter. And I was right. In what is being described as an accident, two hours ago a three-year old boy was shot in the head on the 6200 block of South Aberdeen, which is in the art of the violent South Side Chicago neighborhood.

The victim is described as being in serious-critical condition.

From InfoWars: Was Obama insider Robert Gibbs behind McDonald's anti-Trump Tweet?

Since 2015 former White House press secretary Robert Gibbs has been the global chief communications officer for McDonald's. Which leads InfoWars to ask, "Was Obama insider Robert Gibbs behind McDonald's anti-Trump Tweet?"

(Video) Remember when they said TRUMP didn't pay taxes?

Two nights ago Rachel Maddow hyped that she had Donald Trump's federal tax returns and deep into her otherwise little-watched show, she revealed them.

Trump's taxes didn't reveal any bombshells. Here's a broadcasting tip, Rachel. If you build up a story--make sure it's worth building up!

Oh, Trump paid taxes on 25 percent of his income, a higher rate than Barack Obama, Mitt Romney, and Bernie Sanders paid.

But remember when the naysayers claimed when Trump paid no federal income taxes?

McDonald's Corp posts anti-Trump Tweet, uses Weiner defense

Twitter keeps getting people in trouble. Pricewaterhouse Coopers' star struck Oscars accountant Brian Cullinan, ABC Chicago's anti-Donald Trump sportscaster Mark Giangreco come to mind.

The latest Twitter debacle comes from whoever manages McDonald Corporation's Twitter feed.

That Tweet reads, "@realDonaldTrump You are actually a disgusting excuse of a president and we would love to have @BarackObama back, also you have tiny hands."

When Anthony Weiner was caught sending a lewd pic on Twitter, he claimed his account was hacked.

McDonald's appears to be using the same approach.
What is likely is that the leftist who wrote the anti-Trump Tweet was going back and forth between a personal account and the McDonald's account.

That person has one less Twitter feed to manage now.

UPDATE 6:40pm CDT: McDonald's claims it was hacked. I'm still skeptical.

From their website:
Based on our investigation, we have determined that our Twitter account was hacked by an external source. We took swift action to secure it, and we apologize this tweet was sent through our corporate McDonald’s account.

Trump offers conservative budget

And to think there still are some people who call themselves conservatives who believe Trump is not one.

From the New York Post:
President Trump intends to roll out his budget blueprint Thursday — and it will include a 31 percent reduction to the Environmental Protection Agency and a 28 percent cut to the State Department.

The EPA budget will slip from $8.2 billion to $5.6 billion — lower than it's been in four decades, the New York Times reported.

"Senior Trump officials consider the EPA the leading edge of the administration's plans to deconstruct the administrative state," one source told the Axios website on Tuesday.

Officials told The Post the State Department faces a 28 percent reduction.
Seeing increased spending will be the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security.
