Kamala Harris brings a word salad for the ages: "Moment of time in which we exist and are present"

Vice president Kamala Harris is a feeble heartbeat away from the presidency.

And yes, all of us are in a "moment of time in which we exist and are present."

And we always will be. Duh!

Soros-favored Chicago so-called prosecutor, Kim Foxx, not running for reelection

Kim Foxx, the pro-criminal Cook County state's attorney, whose campaigns were supported by a PAC funded by radical leftist billionaire George Soros, announced this afternoon that will not be running for reelection in 2024.

She's among the elected officials, which also include outgoing Chicago mayor Lori Lightfoot and chief judge of the Cook County Circuit Court Tim Evans, who bear responsibility for the rise in the crime right in Chicago and its inner suburbs.

After the election this month of Chicago Teachers Union product Brandon Johnson as Chicago's mayor, who until he announced his run, was a defund the police advocate.

Common-sense voters in Cook County--a minority I know--need to line up behind a law-and-order candidate. Not next year, or later this year--but now. The CTU got to work early for Johnson--and look where he is now.

Best known nationally for her mishandling of the Jussie Smollett hate crime hoax, her refusal to do her job and aggressively prosecute criminals is by far her greatest sin.

From CWB Chicago, Woman ran from stolen car, got arrested at police station while trying to claim property she left behind: prosecutors

Even if you don't live in the Chicago area, CWB Chicago is an essential news source. If newspapers want to reverse, or at least slow down their readership decline, reporting on crime honestly is a great place to start.

As for the story linked here, the alleged criminal was also wearing an ankle monitor.

Robbie Fulks - Riot Act

In honor of last weekend's riot in downtown Chicago, I present for you a cover of Elvis Costello's "Riot Act."

Appropriately enough, it's sung by Chicago-based Americana performer Robbie Fulks, from a 2015 Chicago concert.

Chicago chaos 'going to keep happening because Brandon Johnson got elected'

The young couple who were assaulted during the riot in downtown Chicago last Saturday night--a white woman and black man--were violently assaulted and robbed by a mob. A brave woman--an African American--saved them. Here name is Lenora Harris and she is a hero.

The bad news?

A cop told Harris that the Saturday mayhem wasn't a one-off.

It is "going to keep happening because Brandon Johnson got elected."

Megyn Kelly and Michael Knowles discuss the Bud Light debacle.

Elon Musk humiliates "journalist" right to his face during sit down interview

An alleged journalist from the BBC said to Elon Musk in an interview that hate speech has a home at Twitter.

Musk asked for examples. Same result.

To the left, hate speech is something they don't agree with.

Let's go Brandon: Four Chicago Walmarts closing

The Brandon Johnson exodus has begun in Chicago. And he's not even been sworn in as mayor yet.

Four Walmart stores, one each on the North Side and Southwest Side, and two on the South Side, are closing.

Don't look for other retailers to move in.

From ABC Chicago:

In a news release, the company said in part, "Our Chicago stores have not been profitable since we opened the first one nearly 17 years ago - these stores lose tens of millions of dollars a year, and their annual losses nearly doubled in just the last five years. The remaining four Chicago stores continue to face the same business difficulties, but we think this decision gives us the best chance to help keep them open and serving the community."
The company said it has tried different strategies, including building smaller stores and offering services beyond retail, but says they have not improved stores' performance.

3 killed, including 2 teens, and 17 others wounded over weekend in Chicago

Chicago will have a new mayor, far-left Democrat Brandon Johnson, next month. Although he backed off from his anti-cop statements, Johnson was a defund the police guy in 2020.

Even worse times are coming to Chicago.

Over this past weekend, three people were shot to death and at least 17 others were wounded.

Of the homicides, a 17-year-old boy in Dunning on the Northwest Side got in an argument with someone who shot him Friday night.

On Saturday, two men were shot in a drive by shooting in Greater Grand Crossing on the South Side, one of the victims, a 30-year-old man, was killed.

And in Washington Heights on the Far South Side, a 15-year-old girl was fatally shot in the head while sitting in a car early Sunday morning.

Four killed and at least 15 wounded in Chicago over weekend

In the last weekend before the final round of voting in Chicago--Election Day is Tuesday for mayor and some aldermanic races, four people were shot to death and at least 15 others were wounded.

Paul Vallas, who has a slight lead in most polls, promises to hire more cops. His challenger, Brandon Johnson, is dancing around the issue, but he was part of the defund the police movement in 2020. Perhaps he still is.

Of the four shooting deaths, One man was killed near the United Center Friday night. Also on the West Side, on Saturday a man was fatally wounded in Lawndale. A few hours later, on the South Side, a store manager carrying an FOID card shot a would-be robber, he later died of his wounds.

And on Sunday, a male teen was killed in Humboldt Park on the Northwest Side.

Boomtown Rats - Banana Republic

With Thursday's arrest of former President Donald J. Trump on the financial version of jaywalking, Joe Biden's America is sadly a banana republic.

Speaking of that, here are the Boomtown Rats performing their British hit, "Banana Republic."
