Four Corners Furtherance: Colorado River and I-70

The Colorado River, one of America's great waterways, flows from Rocky Mountain National Park into Mexico and the Gulf of California--although irrigation and drinking water diversions often slow that down to a trickle--or to nothing at all.

While we were driving home on Interstate 70 in western Colorado, the river was a constant companion. You'll have to click on the image to make it larger to see the whitewater rafters. We saw a lot of them along this patch, which was near Glenwood Springs.

Photograph taken by Mrs. Marathon Pundit while I was driving.
