Hickory Hills' $50 billion Obama stimulus "campaign sign"

After I returned from my afternoon trip to Chicago southwest suburbs, where I encountered this Barack Obama stimulus "campaign sign" in Hickory Hills, I read in the Washington Post that President Obama is seeking $50 billion for yet another stimulus, so state governments can avoid "massive layoffs of teachers, police and firefighters." Sheesh...talk about scare tactics...I'm surprised they didn't mention shuttering orphanages. Oh, the cash will supposedly also nurse the fragile recovery.

What recovery?

First of all, if the first stimulus had worked, then this panic-peddling stimulus wouldn't be needed. Obama and the Democrats wasted $862 billion dollars on the first one, and now they want to pour more money into their expanding sinkhole.

Secondly, there will be more stimuli needed as long as the Democrats are in charge. It won't be enough money--because it is never enough money with them. There is always another emergency...another crisis...

Think about that in November when you cast your ballot.

But the first stimulus limps on--in Hickory Hills and beyond.

Instead of constantly threatening to cut education and fire/police- why are they choosing to fire them before they fire government bureaucrats? If we had a real media they would contrast what they spend in operating government offices and employees/unions forcing them to answer why they are choosing to cut the the educational system, firemen, police.

It needs to be turned around at them since they are at fault for spending, we are not at fault for not paying enough as we always pay more and more- our share never decreases.

This game is getting so old because there really is no money left and they try to bully us to allow them more spending by forcing money from the individual citizen.

Sorry, I just got my car registration in the mail and it has been increased by 25%. When I first bought this car used (already taxed once) they sent me a letter in the mail that the taxes I paid when I applied for my plates were not enough for the value of the car and they demanded I either send them the amount they had calculated I owed or a letter proving my purchase price. This was on a used (already taxed to the first owner) person to person transaction.
