Palos Heights' Obama stimulus "campaign sign"

Well, lived my life and never stopped to worry 'bout a thing
Opened up and shouted out and never tried to sing
Wondering if I'd done wrong
Will this depression last for long?
Won't you tell me
Where have all the good times gone?

The Kinks, "Where Have All The Good Times Gone," 1965.

When I was growing up in Palos Heights, Illinois, Palos Township was as reliably Republican as Kansas. But in 2008 Palos succumbed to the Cult of Change--the Obama/Biden ticket took 50.3 percent of the vote there. Where have all the good times gone?

As is often the case with these Barack Obama stimulus "campaign signs," I couldn't ascertain what work was going on when I snapped this photograph earlier this afternoon. Yes I know it's Sunday, but is it necessary for me to do a Recovery.gov search? Or is the sign--and the glorification of Dear Leader--more important.

You can find this advertisement on Harlem Avenue, just east of Route 83. As for the bridge, it's spanning the Cal-Sag Channel.
