Obama stimulus "campaign sign" outside demolished public housing unit

One of Chicago's most notorious agencies is the Chicago Housing Authority. In 1996, after decades of dysfunctional management, the federal government temporarily took it over.

Public housing was the biggest failure of the New Deal, and the succeeding generation of liberals grabbed a bad idea and made it worse.

This post is stuffed with irony. America's most liberal president since Franklin Roosevelt, Barack Obama, promotes himself in his perpetual campaign--by letting his fellow South Siders know that his economic stimulus is being used to tear down parts of the CHA's Harold Ickes Homes. Who was Ickes? He was FDR's Interior Secretary.

Oh...if I'm not mistaken, Obama's economic stimulus was supposed to create jobs by building things...bridges, roads and the like. There are no plans regarding what to do with the soon to be vacant land.

Here are some more Obama stimulus "campaign" signs:

Good - these were an eyesore, and dangerous for a neighborhood trying to make a comeback. This area is south of the quickly gentrifying south loop, and kids around here need a save environment to grow up in. One without crackheads walking down the street in the cold of winter aimlessly without a jacket on....and just being a nuisance in general.

It's such a contrast, with campaign signs placed outside demolished sites. But it saves money as such signs don't need to be customized with good design and materials.
