Enviro pressure may lead to the closing of two Illinois nuclear power plants. Will rolling blackouts be next?

Illinois is such a messed up state. One of the few things going for it is that electricity supplies are quite stable. We don't have rolling blackouts here. Yet.

But enviromental kooks are holding up an Illinois energy bill to push "clean energy," such as wind, which is notoriously unreliable and expensive.  As well as solar, another dim bulb energy source. What happened to "follow the science?" Also the enviros are pushing "job equity" as part of their energy plans.

Exelon, the parent company of Commonwealth Edison--and ComEd is not one of my favorites, by the way-- may shutter two northern Illinois nuclear power plants if an Illinois energy bill without subsidies for those plants is left out. It's likely the electricity that is powering my desktop computer comes from one of those plants.

I'm not a big fan of subsidies to corporations, particularly one, Commonwealth Edison, which once had ties to the graft-ridden Boss Madigan machine

But we need to keep the lights on in Illinois. Literally.

Keep these plants open.

Nuclear power is carbon free of course.

Illegal immigrants are leaving tons of garbage along the southern border and not a word from any enviro kook groups.
