Secretary of State John Kerry, who last month declared that so-called human-caused climate change is "another weapon of mass destruction, perhaps the world's most fearsome weapon of mass destruction," is taking time out of his global warming scare-talk to visit the new government of Ukraine in Kiev.
What I'd like for him to do is to announce that President Obama will finally approve the long-delayed construction of the Keystone XL pipeline and loosen federal restrictions on oil and natural gas production, which will drive down the price of those commodities--they are a cash cow for Russia--and pulling the plug on Putin's economy.
Such moves will certainly cripple the Russian national security threat.
As for global warming, the low temperature in Chicago is expected to reach zero Fahrenheit tonight. Yes, it's March.
