Just when the Trayvon Martin controversy was fading away, President Obama revives it--and fueled the racial angle at a snap press briefing earlier this afternoon.
"Trayvon Martin could have been me 35 years ago," he said.
"If a white male teen would have been involved in this scenario," Obama added, "both the outcome and the aftermath might have been different."
Obama didn't mention George Zimmerman--whose nose was broken by Martin. Zimmerman's life was turned upside down by the trial and media attacks against him in a case that race-baiters such as Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton used to advance their own agendas.
