Photo: Cicada just after molting from its nymph skin

A blogger must always be prepared, which is why I carry my digital camera whenever I run, although rain and bitter cold will force me to leave that device at home.

Just two blocks from into my run I was fortunate enough to photograph a cicada just after it molted from its nymph skin.
