American painted lady butterfly
While running through Morton Grove's Linne Woods yesterday afternoon, I was greeted by an American painted lady butterfly gathering nectar from a flower I'm not familiar with.
Painted ladies are usually more orange than this one, which has an obvious brownish-hue.
