There's an alluring patch of orange daylilies in Morton Grove's Linne Woods that I encounter a couple of hours ago. If you are on heading west on Dempster and you are caught by a train or a light at Lehigh, look to your right.
Day lilies are native to the eastern hemisphere but thrive pretty much everywhere in the United States, with the exception of most of the southwest and North Dakota. Very pretty, but very invasive.
