Reid's DREAM Act passes House

6The DREAM Act, a back-door amnesty program for younger illegal immigrants that was championed by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) during the midterm elections, narrowly passed the House last night, 216-198. Eight Republicans voted "Yes."

The bill faces an uncertain future in Reid's Senate.

Oh...why didn't Reid push this bill before the midterms? Was he afraid his party would lose more seats than they did?

More than 50 percent of Americans say they are worse off now than they were two years ago when President Barack Obama took office, and two-thirds believe the country is headed in the wrong direction, a Bloomberg National Poll shows.
