As you know, I completed my 20th consecutive Chicago Marathon yesterday. Once again, I ran with my camema--and I have a better camera than I did in previous years.
About the race: On the men's side, 2008 Olymic Gold Medalist Sammy Wanjiru of Kenya prevailed with a time of two hours, five minutes and 41 seconds.
Russia's Liliya Shobukhova was the first woman to cross the finish line, her time was 2 hours, 25 minutes, 56 seconds.
Unlike the last two years--which forced runners to run in oppressive heat, yesterday offered marathon-perfect weather--cool temperatures and low humidity.
