Registration for the 2008 Bank of America Chicago Marathon is rapidly approaching its 45,000 participant capacity. Only a few thousand open entries are still available. The marathon now says it is full! Yet, the confirmation site only shows 39,145 registered runners. Any insight?
I got an e-mail yesterday, not from the marathon directly, that it would likely sell out today.
My guess is the charities have the 5,000 entries.
