Kennedy collapse in latest Illinois Dem guv poll

Kennedy
Chris Kennedy, a son of Robert F. Kennedy, has a million dollar name but has performed like a rookie league baseball flop as a gubernatorial candidate.

From the Chicago Sun-Times:
A new poll puts State Sen. Daniel Biss trailing billionaire philanthropist/entrepreneur J.B. Pritzker — with just six weeks until the March primary.

The We Ask America poll of 811 likely voters was taken Jan. 29-30 and shows Pritzker ahead at 29.79 percent, followed by Biss at 17.43 percent. Businessman Chris Kennedy was in third with 11.50 percent. And it shows that 37.95 percent of those polled are still undecided. The rest: Tio Hardiman, 1.73 percent; Bob Daiber, 0.87 percent; and Robert Marshall, 0.74 percent.

Biss fared well in suburban Cook, the collar counties and in Chicago, but had just 3.86 percent of voters in downstate Illinois, according to those polled. Kennedy, however, is faring the best downstate.

Pritzker’s poll numbers show his message is getting out throughout the state, with the highest numbers in downstate Illinois.
Kennedy's performance in last week's Chicago debate was a colossal failure, which tops off a disastrous January.

Oh, well, at least he can look back at his nephew Joe's rebuttal speech after President Trump's first State of the Union address.

Uh, you know, maybe not.

Biss is an arrogant state senator from Evanston, also known as Portlandia East. He's the darling of the far-left. As for Pritzker, a scion of the family that founded the Hyatt Hotel chain, he's the choice of the Democratic establishment, Boss Michael Madigan and his cronies. You know, the douchebags who destroyed Illinois.

SCOTUS set to deliver major financial setback to public-sector unions

Good news may be coming soon from the US Supreme Court, perhaps the best news since Donald Trump was elected president.

From USA Today:
The nation's powerful public employee unions stand to lose membership, money and political muscle at the hands of the Supreme Court this year. The only question appears to be how much.

On the court's docket next month are fees paid in 22 states by police, firefighters, teachers and other government workers who decline to join unions that must represent them anyway. But much more is at stake in a nation with declining union membership and growing economic inequality.

After three tries in 2012, 2014 and 2016, the high court is poised to reverse its own 40-year-old precedent and strike down the so-called "fair share" fees as unconstitutional. The 1977 ruling said workers did not have to pay for unions' political activity. The verdict expected by June would allow them to contribute nothing at all.

If the court's five conservatives vote the way both sides anticipate, public employee unions in traditionally Democratic states in the Northeast and West will lose those workers and the fees they pay. Other lawsuits could follow if workers are allowed to band together and seek refunds for fees already paid.
Public-sector unions are nothing my government working to create more government--screwing over taxpayers. The public-sector union pension bomb is destroying states such as Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Illinois.

Is this really a Las Vegas club's WiFi password? Fuckdonaldtrump?

The rest of the Marathon Pundit family is in Las Vegas--I'm trying to keep Illinois the evils of Democratic Party Boss Michael Madigan.

Okay, on the latter I haven't done a very effective job. On the other hand, Madigan was elected to the Illinois House of Representatives when over 40 years ago when I was eight years old.

Back to Vegas. Intrepid cub reporter Little Marathon Pundit snapped this photograph at Oddfellows in Las Vegas.

Okay, is Oddfellows being pranked? Is "fuckdonaldtrump" really the WiFi password for its guests?

If so, it's a long-running prank, as a July, 2017 Yelp post shows that fuckdonaldtrump was the password then.

Oh, once again, I can only imagine the uproar if a public establishment had a similar password about Barack Obama during his presidency.

To my fellow patriots visiting Las Vegas: Choose wisely how you spend your money.

The Trump economy is booming. Vegas suffered terribly during the Great Recession.
