Greg Gutfeld's opening monologue from Thursday night--and I don't say this a lot--is essential viewing if you have an open mind. Well, since you are reading this blog, you do.
The risk takers in the entertainment world are the middle aged one and the old.
People like Dave Chappelle, John Cleese, and J.K. Rowling. They are fighting back against the woke cancel culture.
While not getting into details, Gutfeld gives a shoutout to Eric Clapton and Van Morrison--both of whom are nearing 80--who have repeatedly spoken out against the COVID-19 lockdowns.
As Morrison sang last year in "The Rebels":
Where have all the rebels gone?
Hiding behind their computer screens
Where's the spirit, where is the soul?
Hey millennials, Van the Man is talking to you!
As for Gutfeld, his show, mostly likely working with a much smaller budget, regularly beats ABC's Jimmy Kimmell Live and the Tonight Show ratings-wise each night. He's funnier too than those wokesters.
Only Stephen Colbert remains in Gutfeld's way.
