(Photos) Sturgis, Michigan

Just north of the Indiana border on Chicago Road--US Route 12--is Sturgis, Michigan.

The more famous Sturgis is in South Dakota--but the small towns, while they share the same name, are named for different men with the Sturgis surname.

I never tire of small town main streets.

The southern St. Joseph County town is the Sister City of Wiesloch, Germany.

Playing in July at the Strand Theater was Ted 2, Jurassic World, Terminator Genisys, and Inside Out.

Last year the Sturgis Train Depot, which was built in 1895, was moved to this location on the southern end of town. It will eventually re-open as a museum.
