Chicago needs a bigger anti-gang zone |
From Fox 32 Chicago:
Matthew Gills, 33, a construction worker, lives across the street from where the shooting occurred. He was at home when he heard about 19 shots.Clearly the shooters didn't take heed of the #SaveChicago anti-violence hashtag.
"It's too dangerous to let my kids play around the neighborhood," Gills said.
"That's all it is is gangs. Gangs, gangs, gangs, gangs, gangs. I don't even want to be in Chicago because it's too dangerous."
And I'm sure many Chicagoans are like Gills and want to leave forever.
UPDATE June 3: Only six people were shot. One woman was injured when running from the laundromat.
