Missouri breaks: A broken GOP candidate needs to bow out

Missouri Republican US Senate candidate Todd Akin uttered the most offensive statement made by a political since James G. Watt's "a black, a woman, two Jews and a cripple" abomination in 1983. Akin, an engineer, yesterday said that women cannot become pregnant from "legitimate rape." Since when is rape legit?

Actually, what Akin said is worse, since Watt didn't dismiss an act of violence.

Anyway, Akin needs to go. Now.
