National Ocean Policy is a national anti-energy policy

Morton Grove, Illinois, Aug 17
Have you ever heard of the National Ocean Policy? It was created by an executive order--which is who President Obama thinks he is supposed to govern.

Part of the National Ocean Policy is the National Ocean Council which created the National Ocean Policy Implementation Plan. It's basically a zoning board that decides what gets done where on continental shelf and on the Great Lakes.

Despite their denials, the National Ocean Council will create new regulations that will further choke domestic energy development. Offshore oil and gas drilling, despite the Obama moratorium on new drilling, contributes over $120 billion annually to our economy and employs over 700,000 Americans in good-paying jobs.

Oh, by the way, regular gasoline is selling for well over $4-a-gallon where I live.

While it's fair to say that we are in the too-early-to-tell stage on what the National Ocean Council is up to, the Interior Department reversed its earlier plan for more offshore oil and natural gas exploration. It's believed that there are untapped oil and gas reserves off of our Atlantic and Alaskan coasts that if it's exploited, could employ 200,000 additional Americans.

With the National Ocean Policy, the anti-energy White House has another tool to strangle development of our fossil fuels.

Gasoline costs double what it did when President Obama was sworn into office.

Drill here, drill now, pay less.
