American bellflowers in Des Plaines

While my car was being fixed on Friday, I took a run on the Des Plaines River Path. I encountered some wildflowers that I haven't seen on the North Branch of the Chicago River Path, American bellflowers. This plant is also known as the tall bellflower--it can grow as high as six feet. According to Illinoiswildflowers.info, this bellflower "is often found along woodland paths."

And that's exactly where I found the here.
