Red-tailed hawk in Charlotte

While running through the government buildings district of Charlotte, North Carolina yesterday afternoon, I encountered a red-tailed hawk calmly sitting in a tree.

Unlike the one I photographed in Morton Grove, Illinois last fall, this one was not dining on a squirrel.
