We haven't heard President Obama demonize job-creators as 'fat cats' for a while.
Why is that? Because he is up for reelection in eight months. But his divide-and-conquer view of business goes back to his days as a community organizer.
And not only does Obama want votes, he wants to pick the pockets of the crony capitalists he favors and those he might favor over the next few years.
Earlier today, a hot microphone caught Obama discussing missile defense with his Russian counterpart, Dmitry Medvedev, over missile defense. This is my last election," Obama told him. "After my election I have more flexibility."
What we are seeing in 2012 is Obama's nice face. If he wins reelection, the divide-and-conquer one will return. The appeaser who bows to the Saudi king will be back too.
On the other hand, Jimmy Carter only got to serve one term as president.
