The latest woman to accuse Herman Cain of sexual inappropriateness, Chicago-area resident Sharon Bialek, met the presidential candidate at TeaCon 2011 in Schaumburg, according to Amy Jacobson, the WIND-AM reporter who came to national attention for attending a pool party at the home of Craig Stebic, the Will County man who remains a "person of interest" in the disappearance of his wife.
Cain and Bialek hugged, according to Jacobson.
Jacobsen was fired from NBC 5 Chicago after the Stebic incident.
The Chicago Sun-Times' Michael Sneed has the scoop.
I was a credentialed blogger at TeaCon11. There was no Cain meet-and-greet for the roughly 1,000 attendees. While I was able to participate in a hastily organized press conference with Cain after he addressed the event in a general session, Bialek able to re-connect with Cain after briefly meeting Jacobson at the conference hotel's bar.
With the exception of the conference organizers, anyone else who wanted to get close to Cain was out of luck.
"I recall Sharon was hell bent on going backstage at the TeaCon convention," Jacobson told Sneed, "where she cornered him."
Jacobson's station, a conservative radio outlet, was one of the sponsors of TeaCon. Jacobson says Bialek had no idea that Cain would be at the Renaissance Schaumburg for the conservative event. Conference organzers sent out on email blast that Cain would appear two days prior to his speech.
Was it just a "Chicago coincidence" that Bialek was at TeaCon 2011?
Which means it was no coincidence at all.
"She was very determined to talk to him," Jacobson told Fox News' Megyn Kelly a few minutes ago.
