NLRB delivers another handout to Big Labor

Yesterday I wrote about the Obama administration's "Cut you in half with a gun and give you a band-aid" approach to regulation reform. Well, the red tape is still being rolled out and guess who benefits--again. Why it's Big Labor!

NLRB Delivers Another Handout To Big Labor

Washington, D.C. (August 25, 2011) – The Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI) today released the following statement in response to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) issuing a rule requiring employers to post notices concerning labor rights:

"Today, President Obama's labor board issued another regulation on businesses that will only create additional burdens as opposed to helping employers produce jobs. The notice comes the same week the White House was seeking recognition from the business community for scaling back regulations that inhibit economic growth," said Fred Wszolek, spokesperson for the Workforce Fairness Institute (WFI). "The truth is that the Obama Administration is led by individuals who are more interested in advancing the interests of union bosses than job creators, and today's developments offer definitive proof."
BACKGROUND:

"The National Labor Relations Board has issued a Final Rule requiring most private-sector employers to notify employees of their rights under the National Labor Relations Act by posting a notice. The rule was placed on public inspection at the office of the Federal Register on November 25. It is scheduled to be posted in the Federal Register on August 30, 2011 and will take effect 75 days later, on November 14, 2011."
