Dems' unusual attack on McConnell

Senator Mitch McConnell doesn't get the credit he deserves. Just look at manner the Democrats are attacking him

From The Hill:

Senate Democrats are attacking Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell as being out of touch with other Republicans for denying that GOPers are open to closing tax loopholes and ending subsidies as a compromise on raising the debt ceiling.

"McConnell's out on a limb on revenues," says a new web video released by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's office, which Democrats plan to publicize Thursday morning. "Republicans are sawing it off."

The video highlights quotes from a number of Republican senators who suggested openness to closing loopholes and ending subsidies in a debt ceiling increase deal as a compromise between Democrats who have called for additional revenues in the deal and Republicans who have vowed to not raise taxes.

The video cites Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) who said on Sunday that there are "certain revenue raisers and other areas" that Republicans and Democrats could use to hammer out a increase deal.
McConnell must be irritating the Dems. Good.

Hey Democrats--cut the spending.
