Warriors' Watch welcomes a Marine home in Algonquin, Illinois

Welcome home!
A meeting involving my real job took me out to Algonquin, Illinois this evening. In the McHenry County portion of the village, I had the thrill to witness the military support group Warriors' Watch welcome a United States Marine back home. Many Warriors' Watch members, but not all, are bikers. But the are all patriots. As they state on their web site, "Warriors' Watch will provide motorcycle escorts for military units returning from war, for units deploying, and for individual warriors coming home or going off." The group also supports and honors first responders.

An important rule of blogging: Always carry a camera with you.

Normally I would have walked up to the crowd, told them who I was, and interviewd a few Warriors' Watch members, and of course Brandon, the returning Marine, but I couldn't be late to the meeting.

Thank you, Warriors' Watch. And thank you to all the men and women who serve our country.

Semper Fi!
