The Dems and the debt ceiling: Flip flops

In an interview with the Associated Press, President Obama said, "We will raise the debt limit. We always have. We will do it again." But while nominally representing me in the Senate, he voted against raising the ceiling in 2006, something he called "political" a few days ago. But is Obama still playing politics?

Or is Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV)? He now says his vote on that same bill is something he is "embarrassed" about.

House Minority Whip Steny Hoyer (D-MD) says his '06 debt ceiling vote was also "a mistake."
