Joel Pollak, the Republican candidate for Illinois' 9th Congressional District, appeared on Fox & Friends yesterday morning, where he defended the tea party movement from spurious charges of racism, and pointed out there are extremists Illinois--the Democratic candidates who appeared at a fundraiser for her opponent, Rep. Jan Schakowsky. The featured speaker at the May event? Helen Thomas.

Said Schakowsky of Thomas that day, "She's so awesome!"
