A fundraiser with Helen Thomas Illinois Democrats want to forget

Last month Jan Schakowsky (D-Evanston), my congresscritter arguably the most liberal member of Congress, held her annual "Ultimate Women's Power Lunch" in downtown Chicago last month. The title is ironic, or perhaps it isn't--because the power lunch is really a fundraiser for the big lib's campaign fund.

My friend Richard Baehr, the chief political correspondent for the American Thinker, brought to my attention that not only was disgraced anti-Semite Helen Thomas the featured speaker at the cash-collector, but also in attendance were a whole bunch of major Dems, including Sen. Dick Durbin, Senate nominee Alexi Giannoulias, lieutenant governor candidate Sheila Simon, state Attorney General Lisa Madigan as well as Rep Melissa Bean, and Rep. Debbie Halvorson.
