Sandhill cranes are a rarity where I live, but somewhat common, at least in August, on Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
This beautiful bird was looking for food inside the Seney National Wildlife Refuge when I lucked out and was able to get close enough to take his photograph.
This concludes my series. Thanks for checking in. But I can assure you I'll have plenty of wonderful photos in 2010.
