We have a winner in the US Senate Republican Party in Illinois. The nation's most liberal senator in 2006 (Barack Obama won the honors for last year), Dick Durbin, will face suburban family physician and politcal newcomer Steve Sauerburg, pictured in Niles last fall, in November. The good doctor easily trounced his two foes.
Go get 'em, Sauerberg!
