McCain prevails on Super Tuesday
Yes, I endorsed him two days ago, but taking a step back and taking myself out of the analysis, love him or hate him, John McCain took an enormous leap forward on Super Tuesday and will almost certainly be the Republican nominee for the president.
What of the criticisms of McCain's Super Tuesday win is that he mostly won states that Republicans don't win in general elections. But picking off a state or two viewed as reliable for the Democrats, New Jersey for instance, could be the path for victory in November.
As for the Democrats, the results are still coming in, but the struggle between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obamas is turning into the fourth battle of Ypres.
Interestingly, Barack Obama did well yesterday in states that Democrats typically lose, and most of the ones he won, Idaho, Kansas, and North Dakota for example, don't have large black populations.
