Six Day War forty years later...
...Or is it the Forty Years War forty years later? Of course you can go back to 1948 to mark the beginning of this conflict.
Five hundred years from now, historians may mark the "Six Day War" as a flare up, a Battle of the Bulge of sorts, in a very long conflict.
Since then, one can argue, the Israelis and their enemies have been engaged in a war that as of today is a draw.
Still, I'm glad the Israelis kicked the snot out of Egypt, Jordan, and Syria in 1967, and did pretty much the same thing in 1948. And 1973.
