Professional baseball arrives in Israel

With teams such as the Netanya Tigers, Tel Aviv Lightning, and Beit Shemesh Blue Sox, professional baseball made its debut Sunday in Israel.

Hopefully some help for the Chicago White Sox, who broke a five game losing streak yesterday, can be found in the Promised Land.

UPDATE June 28: Solomonia adds a few details on the leagues on his post here. And yes, there is grass on the field, just like in the Arizona "Cactus League."
