Iowa Straw Poll may be grasping at straws

I've been toying with the idea of hopping on Interstate 80 and heading to Ames in August for the Iowa Republican Party Straw Poll.

Earlier today Rudy Giuliani, then John McCain, announced they'll be bypassing the non-binding tally at Iowa State University.

Interesting tidbit about Giuliani, former Iowa congressman Jim Nussle is a consultant there for Rudy. He and I went to the same high school, Carl Sandburg in Orland Park, Illinois.
