British ObamaCare update: Record increase in complaints

"I'll be honest. There are countries where a single-payer system may be working."
Barack Obama, June 15, 2009, in an address to the American Medical Association.

But Obama didn't name one, and when prompted by reporters, his press secretary couldn't name such a country.

Great Britain has had government-run health care, also known as single-payer, for over sixty years. How is it going?

This is what the BBC says:

Written complaints about NHS [National Health Service] hospital and community services in England has seen the biggest annual rise since records began over a decade ago.

There were more than 100,000 complaints in 2009/2010, a 13.4% increase on the previous year.

The largest number of complaints were about specialist doctors, followed by nurses, midwives and health visitors.

But the NHS has done more work in the past decade, and the complaints procedure has been streamlined.
