Caracas? Havana? Austin, Texas considering name change

Austin in Texas is what West Berlin was to East Germany. It's a political island. Only Austin, the Texas state capital and where the state's flagship university sits, is a leftist aberration in a conservative state.

Because the city's namesake, Stephen Austin, was a slaveholder, the liberals running the place are considering a name change.

Hacklers at a Tampa, Florida Donald Trump rally disturbed CNN's Jim Acosta, Mark Dice hilariously informs us.

"You can hear there is a chorus of boos and other chants from this Trump crowd here in Tampa, Florida," CNN's Jim Acosta tells Wolf Blitzer,, "they're saying things like 'CNN sucks, go home, and 'fake news.'"

Acosta then moans, "Wolf, as you know all of those things are false."

It was a blood moon over Chicago last weekend. And Victor Maggio of Bloody Chicago was out on the streets covering the bloodshed, including three children shot in North Lawndale. As is usually is the case with Chiraq shootings, no one is in custody for that crime.

Maggio's exclusive footage includes Illinois state troopers providing, vainly we learn, CPR to an expressway shooting victim.

What to do?

"I believe what Chicago really needs," Maggio says. "is political reform, more than police reform."

What about the large swaths of Chicago suffering from senseless violence?

"It wasn't the Chicago Police Department that created these neighborhoods," Maggio expands on that statement, "it was failed liberal policies that did this."

Over the blood moon weekend, five people were shot to  death and another 42 were wounded.
