Washington Post blog says Trump may be right, polls underestimate his support

If the Washington Post Fix blog is right about the polls being wrong, or possibly wrong, then Donald Trump may be a shoe-in next week.

Now that we've flushed out that rabbit hole, though, we should note another way in which the polls could be off. Trump's "hidden vote" could manifest itself in heavier-than-expected turnout from people who don't vote very often.

When a slew of national polls came out last week showing the race all over the map, we pointed out that pollsters have to make guesses about who will and won't come out to vote. After all, if you poll 600 first-graders and get their views on the presidential race, it doesn't really matter much, given that they can't vote. The "likely voters" in one poll might not look much like the likely voters in another.

Alleged killer of two Iowa cops captured

A suspect in the ambush-style killings of two police officers was captured Wednesday morning, KCCI-TV reported.

Authorities said two police officers in the Des Moines area were shot to death in the attacks, which happened about two miles apart.

The Des Moines Police Department said in a news release that officers responded to a report of shots fired about 1:06 a.m. and found an Urbandale Police Department officer who had been shot.

Des Moines officers responded to help. About 20 minutes later, a Des Moines officer was found shot about two miles away. Both officers have died.

Crook County IL phony judge has law license suspended, barred from becoming judge if she wins election

Well there is some common sense in Illinois. Some, but not a lot.

The state Supreme Court has suspended the law license of Rhonda Crawford, a candidate for Cook County judge who faces criminal charges for donning judicial robes and allegedly presiding over cases earlier this year.

The ruling by the court also bars Crawford from taking her oath of office is she should win a seat on the bench in next week’s election.

Crawford, who is running for a seat in the 1st Judicial Subcircuit, has continued her campaign despite the fallout from her decision to put on judge robes in August and hear three cases in Judge Valerie Turner’s court at the Markham courthouse.

With no opponent on the ballot next Tuesday, Crawford is a virtual lock to win but the order issued Monday by the Supreme Court spells out that she is not to be sworn in.

Crawford is a Democrat, and yes, that information is relevant to this story because the Sun-Times acknowledges that she's up for election next week; the fake judge faces only a write-in opponent and the brain-dead voters in her Chicago South Side and south suburban subdistrict will check the "X" for Crawford when the see "Democrat" next to her name.

Oh, what about the idiot judge--a real one--who looked on while Crawford was a make-believe judge. Why does she still have a job?

The Democrats--by their own admission--are the party of "the little guy" and raising the minimum wage.

But in a WikiLeaks release of a 2014 email from Google chairman Eric Schmidt to longtime Hillary Clinton aide and attorney Cheryl Mills

The campaign headquarters will have about a thousand people, mostly young and hardworking and enthusiastic. Its important to have a very large hiring pool (such as Chicago or NYC) from which to choose enthusiastic, smart and low paid permanent employees. DC is a poor choice as its full of distractions and interruptions. Moving the location from DC elsewhere guarantees visitors have taken the time to travel and to help.

That's right, Schmidt was telling Mills that the Clinton campaign needed "low paid permanent employees."

Except for those at the top of the Clntonista food chain, the Clinton campaign has a lot of suckers working for it. "Ever get the feeling you've been cheated?" as Johnny Rotten said in his last pre-reunion Sex Pistols concert.

Can you imagine the squealing from the Clinton campaign and their colluders in the media if a similar revelation came from the Trump campaign?

As for the Clinton elite, they vacation in Martha's Vineyard and Cape Cod and they hang out in the Hamptons. They enjoy a live a life that would make King Louis XIV jealous.

Chiraq: October second deadliest month of the year, over 600 dead in 2016

Yes, there is a presidential race in its last week but the carnage continues in Chiraq.

The newest crime numbers from the Chicago Police Department are staggering. October was the second deadliest month in 2016.

Police said Tuesday there were 78 murders, 353 shootings and 427 shooting victims last month. That means there have been 605 murders, 3,003 shootings and 3,633 shooting victims so far this year. In October 2015, 31 people were killed.

In August - the only month to record more homicide victims than October - more than 90 people were killed in Chicago, marking the highest number of murders in a single month in the city since August 1996, according to police records. Chicago has not seen more than 600 homicides in a year since 2003 and not more than 700 homicides since 1998, records show.

November is off to a bad start, thirty minutes into it Chiraq recorded its first homicide of the month.
