Self-confessed idiot Louis C.K. compares Trump to Hitler

Louis C.K., the star of the Louie show on FX, in an email to his fans declared "I'm an idiot," then went on to compare Republican frontrunner to Adolf Hitler and as well as "an insane bigot."

Louie is another show I'll have to avoid. And yes, I've watched a few episodes.

ILL-inois: Retired superintendent whose schools are on financial watch list collects $300K annual pension

Lincoln-Way Central
Marching Band in 2012
As I've remarked before if Al Capone was around today he'd be in the public pension racket. Because that's where the big money is.

From CBS Chicago:
A leading government watchdog is criticizing a pension deal that's giving the former superintendent for Lincoln-Way High School District more than $300,000 a year.

The former superintendent of District 210, Lawrence Wyllie, has the largest pension in the Illinois Teachers Retirement System.

It's not the only large pension. But Andy Shaw of the Better Government Association says it's one of the causes of the state’s pension crisis and it has to stop.
District 210 doesn't pay Wylie's pension, all Illinois taxpayers do--yes, including me.

While Wylie was driving Lincoln-Way into the ground financially his salary never cracked $300,000 a year. But pensions are nothing but deferred salary. At one time they were meant to provide for living expenses when workers were too old and sick to care for themselves.

District 210 is on Illinois' watch list. This summer one of Lincoln-Way's four schools will close because administrators and construction companies conned taxpayers into thinking massive population growth--which never came--would warrant a doubling of the high schools in the Will County district.

Cilizza: Romney's attack on Trump "bolsters" the GOP frontrunner

While the Washington Post is largely unhinged over the Donald Trump candidacy, Chris Cilizza hits it on the head as he discusses Mitt Romney's condemnation of the Republican frontrunner.
This, you might think to yourself, is, finally, the moment when the establishment — such as it is — stands up to Trump, screaming "enough" at the top of its lungs and, in so doing, bringing the party back from the brink of an total electoral disaster.

You would be, almost certainly, totally wrong. In fact, being attacked by Romney is more likely to cement Trump's hold on the nomination than loosen his grip on it. Here's why.

Romney is the face of the establishment. He's just the sort of guy the party loves — a measured statesman who views running for office as a civic duty. He's "serious." He has "gravitas." He is "trustworthy" and "steady."

He's also the embodiment of everything Trump has built his entire campaign against. Romney is too cautious, too mannerly, not tough enough for Trump's taste. He's the face of a Republican Party that lost twice to Barack Obama. He's part of the problem, not the solution.
And Cilizza goes on the say that Romney's assault will "bolster" Trump.

Romney apparently "Just had the greatest brainwashing anybody could get" over Trump

Yes, the sins of the father, 1960s Michigan governor George Romney, can pass on to a son. In 1967 the elder Romney talked on a Detroit TV show about his trip to Vietnam where he "Just had the greatest brainwashing anybody could get."

Watch and listen.

That effectively ended Romney's presidential campaign for the Republican nomination in 1968.

Presidents do not get brainwashed. Well, that was before Barack Obama negotiated that awful Iran nuclear deal.

Mitt Romney apparently received his own brainwashing from the crony capitalists who control today's Republican Party. Because Donald Trump will be bad for their interests, they dragged Romney into their fight for control of the GOP and had him attack the Republican frontrunner in a speech this morning.

Now CNN is reporting that Romney has told his advisors--who may have been brainwashed too--to find ways to block Trump from winning the Republican nomination.

Obamas not moving back to Chicago in 2017

Chicago's Grant Park (or
will it become Obama Park?)
Just as I was bracing myself of an orgy of naming things after Barack Obama as he leaves the presidency next January comes this news: The soon-to-be-former First Family will be staying in Washington DC so Sasha, the younger Obama daughter, can complete her education at the elite private school she is attending in the District.

Oh, sure, there will be an Obama expressway here and an Obama school there, but this development will put a damper on it.

Good.

(Video) Maine governor endorses Trump

Watch as Maine's governor, Paul LePage endorses and then introduces Donald Trump as he introduces the billionaire.

Why didn't Mitt call Obama a "phony" and a "fraud" in 2012?

Wow--Mitt Romney finally got tough in regards to the presidential campaign. Where was this Mittens in 2012?

Romney called Donald Trump a "phony" and a "fraud," which are labels he didn't apply to Obama four years ago. At that time Dear Leader was defending ObamaCare by saying "If you like your health care plan you can keep it," which is something Romney knew was false.

He also charged that there are "bombshells" in Trump's tax returns. But Mittens didn't have the gumption to excoriate fellow Mormon Harry Reid when the Democratic Senate leader said that he heard that Romney hadn't paid income taxes for ten years.

When Romney spoke this morning what you heard was the death rattles of the Republican establishment.

My friends: Trump may not be the perfect conservative. Has there ever been one? But now is the time to do what I have done and hop on the Trump Train?

Shortly after Romney's address ended John McCain issued a statement supporting his fellow failed GOP presidential nominee. Where were McCain's attacks on Obama's radical associations in 2008? You know, people like Bill Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, unrepentant terrorists? Or anti-American racist, the Reverend Jeremiah Wright?

Romeny and McCain: Think about why you lost and why Trump is the Republican frontrunner.

Watch as Romney praises Trump after the billionaire endorsed him four years ago. He praised Trump's business acumen and his skill in creating jobs.
