Temperatures plummet in Chicago as city hosts climate summit

The second day of the Chicago Climate Charter meetings are taking place on the city's Near North Side as I write this entry. As if on cue, temperatures have dropped from a balmy 65 degrees of Monday to the low 30s.

The summit is in response the President Trump's withdrawal from the Paris climate accord, which is an economic attack on the American economy.

Former President Obama, who lives in Washington now, will speak later today. I hope he brought a winter coat.
