Chiraq: 9 wounded in West Side mass shooting

North Lawndale
Just two weeks ago Chicago Police Department brass were patting themselves on the back for a relatively quiet Memorial Day weekend when only 52 people were shot.

But early this morning nine people were shot in just a few seconds on the West Side.

From ABC Chicago:
Nine people were wounded in a shooting in Chicago's Lawndale neighborhood Sunday morning, police said.

Police said occupants inside a black SUV approached the victims at around 4:20 a.m. in the 3300-block of West Douglas Boulevard, police said.

A 33-year-old woman shot in the thigh was transported to Stroger Hospital in serious condition and a 22-year-old man wounded in the foot was transported to Stroger in good condition, the Chicago Fire Department said. Five male victims, ages 17, 23, 29, 30 and 35, were hospitalized at Mt. Sinai Hospital in stable condition and another 17-year-old boy was at Mt. Sinai in good condition. A 26-year-old male was in stable condition at Rush Oak Park Hospital.

Davontay Pittman said his brother was shot in the ribs, but is alert and talking.

"He just shot a bunch of random people. Thank God they're all surviving. They're all doing well, they're all in recovery. I just pray and hope that the madness in Chicago can slow down or stop," Pittman said.
"Random people?" Not exactly. Police are calling this mass shooting gang-related and several of the wounded are gang members.
Chicago needs Trump's feds.

The first place they should start is the head of the snake, politicians who are entangled with the street gangs. Last month the Chicago Tribune's John Kass said, "For more than a century street gangs have been political muscle for the Democratic Party."
