Amboy Dukes: Journey To The Center Of The Mind

For my Saturday musical selection last week I chose Ted Nugent's cover of the Beatles' "I Want To Tell You," which was warmly received."

Prior to launching his solo career, the Motor City Madman, who is now a conservative icon, was the lead guitarist for the Amboy Dukes. The band's only hit was the psychedelic "Journey To The Center of the Mind." Nuge co-wrote the song but he disavows the lyrics, which he didn't compose, which have drug references.
