Detroit area: Three classic cars stolen on Woodward Dream Cruise weekend

Generally considered to be the best vintage car event America, the massive Woodward Dream Cruise happens every third Saturday in August along Woodward Avenue north of Detroit. Yesterday's will certainly be remembered--but for the wrong reason. Three classics vehicles were stolen--all Chevrolets. Yesterday two 1966 models vanished--a Chevelle and a Corvette. And last night a 1972 Camaro Z28 belonging to the founder of Papa John's was filched.

UPDATE August 17: The Papa John's Camaro was discovered in the driveway of an abandoned home on Detroit's west side. Perhaps they learned that nationally-famous classic cars are difficult to fence.

From my post at Da Tech Guy:

I walked its streets--the tragedy of Detroit.
