Beware of Greeks bearing gifts: Stephanopoulos gave $50K to Clinton Foundation

A smoking gun?
Last month ABC News' George Stephanopoulos, a onetime top-level Bill Clinton staffer, took an aggressive stance while questioning Clinton Cash author Peter Schweizer on his This Week program. The best-selling author investigates the political slush fund that the Clinton Foundation is--but Stephanopolous belittled that lack of a smoking gun in Schweizer's work.

Perhaps the former Clintonista is holding that pistol.

From the Washington Free Beacon:
ABC News chief anchor George Stephanopoulos donated $50,000 to the Clinton Foundation in recent years, records show. The contribution is publicly available information, but the host had not previously disclosed it to ABC viewers, despite taking part in on-air discussions about the Clinton Foundation and its controversial relationship with foreign donors.

Stephanopoulos, a former aide to President Bill Clinton, confirmed the donation to POLITICO's Dylan Byers after the Free Beacon contacted ABC News for comment. The host, who acknowledged making two donations of $25,000 between 2013 and 2014, issued a statement of apology for failing to disclose his contributions.
Did the Hillary Clinton campaign feed the questions for Schweizer? Had HRC not wiped her email server clean, would we have found incriminating emails between Clinton and Stephanopoulus?

Will Stephanopolous make public all emails exhanges between himself the this ex-boss' wife?

UPDATE 10pm CDT: Actually Georgie kicked in $75,000 to the Clinton Foundation.
