Land of Leaving: ILL-inois top in outbound migration

The rot of rampant graft and political shenanigans in Illinois continues to bear its foul fruit.

From the Chicago Sun-Times:
More people moved out of Illinois than moved in this year, and the gap was the biggest among the 50 states, Allied Van Lines says.

Illinois had a net 1,372 outbound moves in 2014, the moving company reported Tuesday. Allied is a subsidiary of Oakbrook Terrace-based Sirva Inc.

Allied handled 4,148 moves out of the state and 2,776 moves into Illinois during the year, according to its 2014 State Magnet Report.
The other top hemmoraghing states, not coincidentally, also backed Barack Obama for president in 2008 and 2012. They are Pennsylvania, New York, Michigan, and New Jersey.
