50 years ago today: Beatles appear on Ed Sullivan

It was 50 years ago today when the Beatles made their first live appearance on American television--Sunday night on the Ed Sullivan Show.

My mother says I was watching, but as I was a toddler, I have no memory of this world-changing event.

However, three years ago Little Marathon Pundit and I got to see Paul McCartney live at Wrigley Field, which was definitely a memorable experience for both of us.
